Awesome little lathe. 04/29/2020 10:01:10 PM

Owned less than a month and used several times. It would be great if a carriage feed was included or option for one but Ill figure that part out. Fun little lathe!

Nice little macine 04/24/2020 12:00:12 AM

I bought this specifically for ball turning for handles and knobs. Works great. If you need accessories for yours it is the same as a Sieg C0 lathe, but is better priced and has Grizzly support.

A fine little lathe, very accurate and useful making small to medium size parts. I am a live steamer and I use this lathe to make a lot of the smaller parts for my steam projects. The lathe is very sturdy and has decent power and I especially like the variable speed function. I highly recommend this fine Grizzly product to all newcomers to machining and the professional who needs a smaller machine to produce high quality products.

Excellent Value 07/11/2017 7:51:46 PM

I received this lathe as a Christmas gift this past December, and I have to say that it has far exceeded my expectations in the time since them. Power is more than adequate, although don't be expecting to hog heavy cuts in steel. Light cuts in mild steel are fine though, and of course non-ferrous metals present no problem at all. The machine runs smooth and the design is a good compromise between cost and performance. The small footprint is a big bonus, and the machine is light enough to easily store on a shelf if space is tight. The one issue I've com across is that the bore of pieces chucked-up is slightly off from the bore of the tailstock. It seems as though the tailstock is slightly high relative to the chuck, so for instance, if you want to open up a 2mm ID bushing's bore to 3mm, you need to go way "under" with your reamer to wind up with a 3mm bore. This may be at least in part to runout of the chuck spindle, but the spindle and tailstock are definitely not in line. Anyway, I've managed to work around this and may see about correcting this soon, but I am very happy with the machine. It has to be the best value in a "micro" sized metal lathe there is...thanks Grizzly.

Amazing little machine. 06/07/2017 12:54:45 PM

I admit I was a little skeptical at first. Boy was I surprised. Turns out this is an amazing little workhorse. For those needing a smaller hobby type lath, I don't think you can go wrong with this machine. Yes it is an import, but it is engineered to very good accuracy and specification. As far as I'm concerned, the end machined product is only as good as the skilled hands behind the machine. Me for one is happy and well satisfied I bought this machine.

Great Lathe! 12/01/2015 4:03:25 PM

I've had this little machine for a little less than a month, but in that short time I have had my eyes opened to what a lathe can really do. First off, this lathe is pretty small, but the motor has decent power, and it seems to be sturdy. There is very little play in the cross slide, or any of the moving parts for that matter. It must be kept in mind that I am new to metal machining, and this is my first lathe. I would highly recommend this lathe to any beginner who, like me, intends to start out building small projects.
